The used 17-40 has a grain of sand in the focusing ring which you can sometimes barely feel when spinning the ring. This isn't typically a lens you MF so you'll never notice it. It doesn't affect AF or IQ at all. The lens was bought used from another FMer. The date code is UT2017 so it was manufactured in 2005.
