This is a formation on a rock located by Hvaleyrarvatn near Reykjavik. It is a tiny part of the rock, almost on the edge of being visible to the eye.

Thank you for the comment. This is actually taken with a close up lens and the motive is a tiny spot. I have often walked by rocks that have similar formations and patterns and often thought about taking a photo. Now I was inspired by the assignment.
