Really nice shot Greg, but you got me, what the heck is it! On first glance they look like tree trunks, but then they suddenly look much smaller and flimsy like grasses, but then they could be smaller still and be brush hairs!

Very nice anyway, and I hope to be enlightened shortly!

love the different approach and darkness. Not sure what it is, but thats also what I like about it. No title, and let it speak for itself. Cool stuff

Hah! Got you all where I want you!!!

Hoping to get some time to get a better shot for the MA but thought I would post this to get some comments and questions.

As to what it is? I don't know. At least I don't know how exactly to explain it...it's the trunk of a very large palm tree...a complex set of textures and patterns from where the old palm leaves have let go and fallen....they seem to kind of tear loose, and leave these fiberous things behind....don't know how else to explain it. These things are about 3-4 inches long if that helps give you some scale...
