Taken today on a hike in finger lakes region of New York. This stream eventually flows into Canandaigua Lake and so is the beginning of new waters that renew the life of that lake. Thanks for looking.

I join Jane in congratulating you on finding and capturing so professionally this beautiful scene. The detail is there in both the shadows and the highlights. Awesome!
As soon as I saw the thumbnail I knew where this was, though I've only been there once. It made me home sick for NY State, and sorry that I left before having a chance to explore it photographically.
You've captured the essence of the unusual topography, with a broad scale and full range of detail. Artistic! Admirable!
This is a great landscape Nick......and I know the spot quite well. Your framing and detail is very nice, and the image works well with the theme. It's difficult to not blow out the water highlights in an image like this and you've accomplished that superbly
Great job!
Peter
Thanks Photon,
If you look for them, NYS does offer many nice spots for nature photography. Nothing on the scale as out west, but still nice enough.

Beautiful capture Nick and it also makes me homesick after just relocating to NC after 38 years in NY! It fits the theme just perfectly and the colors and exposure are right on the money with just the right amount of blur on the water; good job!
Hi John,
Thanks for the comments, they are appreciated. I hope that soon you'll find NC just as comforting as NY is to you.
