Almost got seasick on a playground carusell until I had finished this demaning selfshot at about 14 mm, f 22.

Hi Jürgen,

I really like this shot. I've read about the idea (somewhere) before but have never been brave enough to climb up on the carousel with my camera and try it. I'm curious about other details of your setup... did you do any postprocessing to the background? I see some speckling too, perhaps too much for my taste; was your iso setting high or maybe lots of sharpening in photoshop or a heavily compressed jpeg? Also I noticed you were at f/22 but how long was the exposure?

Thanks!
Andrew

Hello Andrew, it was 1/15 s. The whole shot is processed by over-sharpening in several small steps. This creates the "ice" on my unshaved skin and hair and strengthens the horizontal lines in the background. The jpeg settings are high quality.
