Nice shot Beverly. I have tried to capture depth with mirrors and have had limited success..this one turned out great.

Beverly, you’ve managed to pull this one flawlessly.
The composition is outstanding and your choice of colors for the background and mirror frames perfectly coordinate with you. Congratulations!

Thanks, Tom & John! This was not easy to shoot and line up, but it was fun figuring it out (I put a piece of tissue on the right side of the mirror on the wall and it tilted it at just a slight angle, and that's what it needed, otherwise I was blocking my own image). The yellow shirt made things brighter and at first I'd wished I'd used a red or black one, but then decided this kept the color palette simpler. Happy New Year!!!

Great shot Beverly.
I can only find one thing wrong with your submission, and that is the fact that you referred to yourself as a novice. I have seen some of your work and you are far from a novice.

You are so kind, thank you, Tom. I *feel* like a novice, espec. with an SLR. I spent all last year learning how to use an S2 IS in manual mode. I got the EOS 400D a month ago and my newest lens (telephoto) a few days ago. The ability to use different lenses poses new challenges...but wonderful opportunities for greater creativity.
