The 2 faces on the disc is terrific!!!
I saw the original shot of this and while the original background might have been distracting, my only humble critique (as a graphic artist) is this: the background doesn't do the CD image justice because the stars don't look real--after all, real stars are not that dense or all the same size/distance, plus you've lost the edge of your CD. IF you want to do stars then maybe a real shot of the night sky with a few stars in it of differing sizes would be even more effective and give a true DOF to the image? You can keep your CD edge from becoming blurred by using a mask layer (don't feather the edge).
My first choice would be for you to re-shoot the CD on a neutral background (granite, wood), something that makes the CD stand out naturally and cleanly. And/or you can shoot an entirely new composition using a blank CD, then superimpose this CD over the blank CD in the new composition, scaling and skewing to make it fit.
