...I wholeheartedly withdraw my comment - which was based on my own use of the said cameras and probably it was due to the way the conversions were done at the time.
Although the latter shot seems to benefit from a contrastier light it certainly has a lot more snap than the first one.
Also, I agree on the idea of matching lenses to the sensor and processing engine though the latter two can be the most limiting factor in a digital set up.
