This is located behind a country fire house in Lake County, Florida.
This shot is all about the position and angle. I found it quite interesting that from this position/angle we have above ground tanks, a fire extinguisher and a mailbox...but no building!
Looks like payment for fuel is on the honor system...no facility to swipe your credit card to turn on the pump, just put your payment in the mailbox.
This is a very interesting and original picture Forrest!
I wonder how much traffic they get because I can’t see any tire tracks. Was one tank for regular and the other for high test? The street lights seem to indicate that they might be open 24 hours…

Thanks, John. Agreed, doesn't look like the get much traffic...of course, it being a holiday weekend I would have expected a long line at the pump.

Nice find Forrest. Certainly different from the rest. I like the rustic feel of the photo. Lokks like this is in the middle of nowhere.
So how much gas did you put in your tank?
You know that song 'over the river and through the woods'...that fits this one perfectly. Parts of Lake County are in the Ocala Forest...and we have to cross the St Johns river to get there.

I opt for the simplicity of #1..........it's not just a building......in fact there is NO building, just a 'gas station'
nice find for the WA
Thanks, Dan and Peter.
It's so difficult to second guess one's self. My gut says to stick with my original entry...and the last time I had one of these moments, I recall following the advice of my peers and switching my entry...making the finals. Argh! What to do...what to do?
