Has anyone used or tried the Lowepro Orion Trekker II bag? It is relatively inexpensive and seems a good daypack/camera bag combo but I have never seen it or used it. I will not be using it to hike miles upon miles, but mostly for light hiking and some bicycling. Opionions? Options?
I would have posted this in the other thread I started, but this is a more specific question.
i don't know on your type of bag, but i have bought a Lowepro Stealth 300, it's fantastic: resistant, light, with two protections for wind and rain.
lowepro is the best.
I've been using LowePro's Orion AW. It is convertable from a fanny to a daypack combination as needed, and has worked well for me for years. It's particularly nice as while wearing the combo pack you can quickly unclick and spin the fanny section to the front to get at your gear. Then around to the back and reconnect with the day pack section. Although the upper day pack section is not padded, a few Domke wraps and a bit of other padding or clothes takes care of protecting the rest of any photo gear in the top section. It may not be what you want, but the LowePro gear is very durable and should last you a good long time.
