What a fun image. I'm sure you had a great time putting this one together.

Could you tell me how you went about it? It looks as if maybe the dogs were photographed seperately and then photoshoped together with the background painted in. I see some repetition in the background, and some soft, odd edges on the dogs which might indicate some sort of masking or selection work. Just curious how this all came together. Thanks for sharing!

There are actually four dogs in the full photo. There was no way to get the four of them to sit still & look at the camera at the same time, so I set up my lighting with the Christmas tree in the background and the best I could get was three dogs at one time. I had to shoot (almost literally) the puppy last and paint him in.
This photo is cropped from the original.
The dogs were photographed as you see them, but I had to paint in the background, duplicating the Christmas tree. I know there are some soft edges and repetitions, but, it is only a 4x6 photo for a Christmas card and the detail was "good enough".
I just thought these two captured the attitude I would have if someone made me put on a hat with a bell and stand in front of a tree to have my picture taken.
Also, just to be perfectly clear, the outfits were my wife's idea.

4 Dogs, and i thought i needed my head examined to have 3 dogs, the 2 two labs Chocolate (Nixon), White (Ollie) both named after Republican scoundrels,

, weigh 110LBS. each. Now the brute in the middle the Bull Mastiff (Benny) he is only 6 months old here and weighs in at 155LBS. All 3 are males and have never once took a snip at one another, also i make all 3 of them eat side by side, so they learned not to take each others food.
The funny thing is that my wife is pregnant, and all 3 of the dogs dimenas have changed, they follow here around like she is a biscuit, and if anyone moves fast towards her they growl, funny but scary at the same time.
