Very nice sunset, lovely colors and peaceful mood but the barb wire (don't know if it's the right word for it sorry) ruins this feeling a bit.

I disagree, I think the barbed wire adds just the right contrast/texture to the image. It keeps it from being just another sunset.

I agree with Carol, The barbed wire adds to the composition following the line of the river but ending abruptly. The river appears to be in full flood, That along with the cloud remnants convey a sense of calm after the storm. This is one of the most interesting sunsets I've seen for a long time.

I didn't mean the whole barb wire that of course adds to the composition (even if a little bit too intrusive to my taste).
I was only talking about the "piquant" one that doesn't represent anything good to me.

Thanks everyone for your comments...really appreciated. On the barbed wire/fence debate, I think that if it hadn't been there I probably would not have taken the shot - it's what attracted me to the scene in the first place. Cheers. Paul
