Is anybody here questioning the abilities of the D100? I have owned the camera for about 2 years, I know it well and I am very happy with my results.
Yes, I will be taking a look at the D200, if I get satisfied with the reports that will begin to show after December, but my name is not going to be in any waiting list.
I agree with Duane; I do not want to miss those beautiful shots....

I have to agree with you that the D100 is a great camera and always will be. But there are a couple things I think the D200 offers that I think I need like weather sealing, brighter view finder and the buffer size with number of continuous shots. I have 2 growing young lads and they are very active and would like to have the additional speed/action the D200 offers without going to a D2 camera.

Well, I love my D1X, but I am going to break down and get a D200. It is just a matter of throwing desire, need, economy, and my wife...sticking my hand in and pulling out what I can get.....and I think I can get a D200 without earning a divorce.
Just don't tell mine that I'm even looking. I'm already in the dog house with fly fishing gear purchases. My hobbies get me in trouble: photography, golf and now fly fishing. None of them can be accomplished in a few minutes at home, they require time in the field so to speak, like half a day or more!

Did you get lost Scott? That boat says Cruise Chicago! :D Any yes hopefully the bath tub won't be that big when I decide to jump from the D100 to D200 and look for a willing sucker to buy my hand me downs!! :O
This is one of my very first images I made with my D70 over year ago. I risked divorce buying it... my wife still thinks I bought it ocassionally used... But I'm absolutelly happy I did it and didn't wait - for the price drop or new model or whatsoever. Just go & catch the light!!! All the best for you Duane!!!
Sheesh I was going to say WOW!
Anyhow WOW, there are some amazing images in this thread, great stuff inspiring and oh so glad all have got back to what the Nikon guys do.
Appreciate!
This really shows you don't need a D2x a 35mm sensor or film to pull of some beautiful landscapes.
I wonder what Ansel would have thought about this era!
I bet it would have excited him too.
I just love my 65 Nikomat, Sweeeeet!
Cheers,
Jasin.
