So I just moved into my new place, and got internet access. I saw this topic was up, and having a great view from my bedroom window I figured lets see what we can get.

It is kind of stormy around here, and the exposure wasnt easy. This is the best I was able to come up with, and I havent gotten a chance to get any decent light since. I dont think it is too bad. Maybe some better lighting will pop up soon, but I figured I would post it now anyway.

dont get me wrong, I think the lighting is dramatic too, but If I had caught the sun just a little higher. I wouldn't have had to do as much work in photoshop. The forground was really dark. I thinking with a little more ambient light I might have been able to have a little more refined final product and still maintain some of the dramatic effect, but alas I go to work when the sun is down and come home the same so I havent even had a chance to try. Not to mention the fact that I could be wrong about the lighting, and I think I like the reflected light on the left building. It balances the photo a bit. i probably wouldnt get that again if the sun was in a different place.

This shot really makes me want to go to Germany. My girlfriend studied german and always wanted to go, so I guess I have even more reason than before to go. Europe is awesome
