ive lost my manual for the SB-800. Could someone help me out with identifying the plugs on the side of the flash... can I plug a sync cord into either of these plugs? thanks
The top one is used with SC-18 type TTL flash cords but it's only for use with film bodies, won't work with digital. The bottom one is a pc sync terminal for connection to a pc sync terminal on a camera. If your camera doesn't have a pc socket you'll need one of those AS-15 thingys attached to the hot shoe. So ya, you can plug a sync cord into either of them as that's what they are for but with different cords of course.
