So I am looking to get an 70 or 80-200 f/2.8 but I don't have the money to shell out for a nikkor, even the push pull, so my question is this:
Does anyone have any experiance with the Tokina 828 atx-pro and how does it compare to the Nikkors? I know a lot of people really like some of the Tokinas, but I just wanted to know if anyone could share any of their experiences to help out.
The 300 f/4 is a great lens, but I don't really need the 300mm and I do really need the f/2.8. I shoot a bunch of bands and candids so the extra stop is really critical, so is the zoom instead of prime. Also, although I have done it before, manually focusing on a D70 in really low light is a nightmare.
