I sent my D70 to Melville for the third time with the following problem. In the middle of shooting the lens would not focus. It would spim from max to min focus points and would not fire. If I changed to MF I could take pictures.

In one weeks time I had a package from Melvill containing a NEW D70s as a replacement camera.

Could you ask for anything more?

Not a cent. They even paid for me to send it to Melville UPS.

Yes, a camera that worked in the first place. This camera did, but when it went bad after a year of use, apparently they could not fix the problem.

That's really nice that nikon sent you a new camera. If I were in your shoes I couldn't ask for anything more. It's good to see them offering such great service.

It's great to hear the 'good luck' story for a change... have fun with your new D70s

I like the idea of the bigger viewfinder on the S.

I like the idea of the bigger viewfinder on the S.

I believe that the lcd is larger - same viewfinder.

Thanks for the correction Marc, I hope I didn't confuse anybody.

Trust me to get it wrong!! - well I'm more than happy with my D70 anyway, it was the thought of a bigger viewfinder that got me all excited
