Price of the 5D will probably drop just before Christmas. In the long term, I think it's cheaper to buy the 5D than a film camera to get full frame. No scanner to buy (a good scanner cost a lot of $$$), no film, no development, you can send your file to the lab by e-mail. In two years when they replace the 5D, you can sell it and recover a good part of your money.
