I've ordered a BF. At the rumored seven hour process and only nine units milled a day, it will likely arrive sometime around 2076, but when it arrives I suspect supply and demand will keep the used prices high enough to make it not a huge risk. Think Leica. Plus I'm already in the M & L-mount world and no, this isn't a replacement for any other body.
I'm most concerned with only an electronic shutter and how the manual focus process goes.

Anyone have one of these yet? I have to say, I'm really intrigued as a casual carry around camera.
Sigma's official release date is April 24 for the BF. So maybe people will start getting them in hand next week. Sigma also says that demand is outpacing their production capabilities. They will be on back order for some time.
Something about the BF’s mode of operation dragged me in; mine will be here Wednesday. I’m planning on one of the revised Sigma 45/2.8s as an everyday lens, but have my 40/2 Summicron-C and a Nikkor 45/28P standing by on adapters until the Sigma becomes available stateside.
I generally don’t shoot in full sun, much preferring the shoulders of the day and overcast conditions. If I need full sun capability I’ll grab one of my Nikons.
I plan on mostly shooting in aperture priority using the lens aperture ring as the deity intended with the menu parked on exposure compensation. I know you always get EC on shutter half press, but I think I want the ability to use it without my finger on the shutter. I’ll play around with that aspect.
Mine arrived yesterday (ordered from Sigma's own signup - NYC pop-up related). Was only able to charge up and take a few test shots, but appears to be working fine. Menu will take a little getting used to. Working a conference in Vegas next week and will take along with a yet undetermined lens (possibly the 45 f/2.8, maybe manual CV). Will let you know thoughts after.
As much I love the BF and FP series I can't really get on board with the BF as I know how difficult was to shoot with the fp on bright days. It was only until sigma came out with a evf did I really enjoy the FP. So I hope Sigma releases an evf for the BF

I don't see how this would be possible since there are no attachment mechanisms. The best I can see is something like the OVF on the fp.
