p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Issues with Mamiya 645 1000s CDs Viewfinder

I recently purchased a Mamiya 645 1000s from eBay, the body seems to work fine. Once I put batteries in I checked the shutter speeds and everything was accurate, light was on the side of the camera was glowing green too, meaning the camera body is getting powered. My issue is once I attach the CDs viewfinder it came with and turn the shutter dial on the body to the red circle in order to control the speeds through the viewfinder, my mirror sticks every time I fire the camera. I put batteries in the viewfinder as well, the compartment isn't corroded at all and looks to be in really good condition too, still it's not working. The light meter doesn't seem to be reading either. The seller claims it was working perfectly fine before they sold it to me. Maybe I purchased the wrong batteries? From what I've read online this specific viewfinder takes 76A 1.5V batteries which is what I bought and inserted into the compartment. But it seems like the problem is localized within the CDs viewfinder itself. So I was just wondering if anyone else has ran into this issue and if they were able to resolve it. Thanks.

I don't have any advice for your issue, but you might want to also post it on the Film Is Not Dead Forum. You'll be more likely to get some help there.
