R5 Mark II availability question

I want to buy an R5 Mark II body, I searched this forum and was surprised I could not find any posts regarding where to find one in stock. Does anyone know where I can find one in stock with US warranty?

I sold my R5 and R3 so I don’t want to wait 6 months till new shipments come to US from Canon. If I can’t find a new one I would consider buying one of the used ones on FM, there are 3 active right now. Would Canon honor the USA warranty if the camera was purchased new 30 days ago, but I am not the original purchaser?

Rob – thanks again, I went ahead and ordered it online. I was going to wait till tomorrow to call them and confirm that they had it in stock but I figured I might miss out if I waited.

Mogul - Yes, waiting six months is probably the smart thing, but I’ve never been good at waiting!

what would be revamped about it? Canon has never "revamped" a camera mid cycle from my understanding.

There might be new firmware or an astro version, but the R5 II will be current for several years. Theer amy also be a high-res camera as a different model.

Manufacturers sometimes change internal components over ther lifetime of a product without making that known to the public, if that is what is meant.

Out of stock now, that didn't last long. I think the kits will be sold out soon as well. Adorama already sold out of their kits and B&H just has a few left.

Thanks for the advice; I did make sure to buy a US warranty camera. I used to deal with them in my film and early digital days.

I agree 100%!
They were NOT truthful to me with a purchase 25 years ago! Never went back. Gray market is their mantra but don't tell you that until to late.
