Thanks all, appreciate the comments. I had the C7 with the 7-speed manual. Red with a rag top. Loved it, but as I got older it was harder to get in, well actually I just dropped in, like a sack of potatoes. Getting out was harder. They didn't offer a seat elevation system that would turn left and assist my exit, so I had to let it go. ;-(

FWIW, back in late 1953, my step-father brought home this incredible white w/ red interior car, top down, and just amazing. He raced midget cars at the then Buffalo NY Civic Stadium and worked for a Ford dealership. He let me drive it around the block (illegal though it was). OMG!! I never asked how he came by what he said to be the first Corvette in Erie County, Thanks for the memories, Aboudd.
