What setup are you finding working best with the R5II?

I use shutter AF so put the Spot AF (the version with the new lock icon so no tracking or eyeaf active) on the shutter. EyeAF on the AFON and a Zone with AF active on the * button.
I copied Jan Wegener’s AF case settings. -2 for the first slider, -1 for the second. I did discover you can tweak the Auto case to be more or less responsive but didn’t test. Not sure if Jan knew about that feature as it wasn’t obvious you could change the Auto.

A few other things I did for setup of the buttons.
Used my usual Canon/Sony dial setup....shutter on front wheel, ISO on upper back wheel, Aperture on lower back wheel. I shoot full M and mostly change SS and ISO and not Aperture so I keep SS/ISO up top where it is quicker to change.
I put the REC button to be the 1.6x to FF toggle....glad Canon has the toggle option now...I know the R5 didn't (had to push and scroll through the list of 4 ratios) although maybe it got this toggle in later FW??
M-Fn to toggle between M and C1. C1 with auto-update settings enabled and just a mirror of my settings but with slower SS, lower ISO to shoot perched birds and allows my main settings to stay ready for BIF/action at faster SS.
Put the front of camera button to just be MENU.

Decided to keep pre-capture enabled all the time but I did also add it to the very top of the MYMENU1 so I could get to it quickly to turn it off if I wanted to.

I am curious about you use the shutter button AF in combination with backbutton AF? I am using shutter only for meeting/shutter, back AF for zone AF (and eye control set when enabled), back * button for full frame eye detect, and top LCD lamp button turn eye control on/off.
