Canon did an interview about why there was no clog2 in the R5c, their only cinema body to not have it. They mentioned it was the lack of DR in that sensor and it would just lead to noise. This sensor was rated about 16 stops of DR, which puts it up there with their normal cinema cameras, c70 being one of the best to take advantage of clog2.
I’ve taken some footage in the last few days with the r5ii and the latitude is amazing and I get great color and contrast even with very light grading.. essentially throwing a lut on it. There are tons of great clog2 luts on the net, so you’ll be find getting great looking video is easy.

Purple - how are you exposing the log footage? +1? +2? No exposure competition?
I am experimenting at the moment. At least one person says he’s gone back to zero exposure compensation, after using +2 with CLOG3.
Also what luts are good?
