Specifically need a bag or backpack as a carry on or act as a personal item that will carry 2 Camera Bodies, 100-500 mm lens,
24-105 lens, maybe a 70-200 F4 and 14-35 f4.
Plus Misc. batteries, charger etc

Might not always take the 4 lenses. Always the 100-500 and 24-10.

Yes, Taking Gear as carry on

Airlines have differing weight / size restrictions for carryon. Many of the smaller regional airlines are limiting you to 7kg for your carryon. Best to be aware of the rules for every leg of your journey.

I use an Osprey pack and take 2 cameras and 3 primes as carryon. Total weight under 7kg.

I've gone on a couple trips lately with a MindShift TrailScape 18L. It fit a laptop, tablet, Z8, 100-400, 14-24, 24-120, 50, and I even fit my Q3 as well. Easily fits under the seat or overhead. It's definitely more of a camera bag than a traditional travel backpack, so if you need to have lots of other stuff accessible while on a plane or at your destination, it won't fit much. I could barely cram a paperback in.

Personally I'm on the lookout for some even lighter bags for some upcoming trips where minimizing weight will be necessary. I am thinking of checking out some of the smaller F-Stop bags soon.

Carryons in the EU were supposed to become standardized across all carriers starting 9/1/24. I don’t know if it actually went into effect or not.
