I finally finished editing my images from a road trip around New Zealand's South Island taken in March. I managed to take these with my 18 month old daughter in tow (see the last image for an example of this). I would love to go back with more time and to be able to focus on photos, but I loved the trip and I now have a better sense of where to go in the future.

And here is a peak behind the scenes:

You got some great shots with liveliness in them. If you would allow me to offer a critique, it would be to that you have multiple frames where the images look very similar. Personally I would prefer to see your single favourite of those multiple frames. You might have less images to share but by culling as I suggested there will be a lot of variety in the images. Just a thought. Congrats on taking your daughter out like that. I'm sure she will grow up into a nature lover!

Ketang,
beautiful set of images. Like you I used to take my sons hiking with me. Started them the same way you did with your daughter. They are now 18 and 15 and love the outdoors. Their favorite trips are the ones that are nature oriented. They prefer going out in nature than visiting a city. When my youngest one was 2 we bought an RV and usually took trips once a month. To this day they love when we go out in the RV and often bring friends. Congrats on what you are doing with your daughter she will thank you for it once she is older.

Great work! Gotta love IBIS for when the backseat passenger gets a bit unruly.

OT, but curious which OR pants you're wearing and your thoughts about them? I'm a Ferrosi fan and in colder weather switch to the Cirque, but curious about other OR options. It's just difficult to find the full line in stock nearby to try...

Too many images (similar or not) for one thread.

No, you are 100% correct. It was still agony trying to choose. A good problem to have but yes that would make this even more impactful.

Yeah, it's a whole thing with my OR pants. There are two I wear, one is Ferrosi and the other is Methow. Based on what you said about weather I think Methow is the lined one which is warmer. The ones in the photo here are the Methow. Briefly, they are great in cold weather all the way up to maybe ~70 degrees F after which I prefer Ferrosi. The issue is that post COVID I noticed some cost cutting. The new pants have one less pocket and with all the camera accessories you can imagine I carry it is an unfortunate loss. I have always had to order online due to the stock issues, even here in Boston.

Thanks for the feedback. Cost cutting resulting in feature loss, yeah, but another frustration has been that OR's pant proportions/sizing has been a bit odd/wacky and it changes with each generation, or redesign of a given model. I'm now across three generations of Ferrosi and they all fit a bit differently, along with other changes, such as pockets (number, size, zippered or not) or the cuff cinches. The old Ferrosi I wear size 34 but the current version even size 36 is a bit tight. Rather than another intermediate pant between the Ferrosi and Cirque I will wear a lightweight long underwear with the Ferrosi in cooler conditions. I just love the stretch and breathability of the Ferrosi material and continue to stick with them. Cirque is probably a heavier soft-shell than Methow, but without lining. It appears to be transitioning to v3 this year, too. I was still on an original pair but just bought a couple v2 on discount and the cut is looser, baggier, but it meant I stayed with a L rather than feeling the need for XL with the slimmer cut of the v1. What v3 will bring is uncertain. I tend to be a version behind because I usually buy them when the older version is on clearance.
