I updated via the FOTOS app. Smooth update--no problems.

*FWIW and as usual, I took out the SD card before the update and I never update the camera firmware with a lens attached, just in case.

I updated through the Leica FOTOS APP as always. Everything appears to have gone smoothly. Best SmartPhone integration with a camera I have ever experienced.

I updated my M11-P using the SD card method. I'm glad to read the Fotos App works fine. A past experience with the Fuji phone app updating my GFX 100S has me using the SD card process for now.

I saved my user profile on the SD card (since it was offered) even though the release notes recommend starting fresh with a factory reset.

The update went pretty fast, just a couple minutes. The red light then stopped flashing and the camera turned off when done but it did not restart on its own. I waited a minute then turned the switch off then back on again and it started right up. Everything looked just like before, so my profile was reinstalled correctly and the firmware read 2.1.2. The initial tests look good so far.

M11M and M-11P both updated through fotos app- Seamless.

Also I haven't had a single freeze or hiccup on either camera in months. I have never had one on the M11-P and only one on the M11m in over a year of ownership.

I just updated my M11 via SD cards without any issues. It took about a bit less than 4 minutes and 5% of battery power. I also didn't experience any problems since the last two updates.

I don't know why you say this. For the vast majority of M11 users the camera is a stable reliable platform.

I coudln't agree more- Leica Fotos has been incredible. You should try it with the Q3

Raw's in a few seconds max.

Although I am more than pleased with the M11-P performance. How is the Dlux with the app?

Well, I did it, tested my patience, but it works and I can avoid another visit to Wetzlar.

Btw, after my last visit, during which they reset my camera while I waited and gave it right back to me, I've gotten two different invoices for that work, both zeroed out to work under warranty and a notice thanking me for sending in the camera and alerting me to their waiting times. They work in mysterious ways.

The D-Lux 8 works perfectly with the FOTOS APP. The smaller files size is even faster.
