Like everyone on this forum, I have way to much stuff - yet can’t be arsed with the hassle of selling
I scratched the sensor badly on my used RP whilst trying to clean. The repair cost would be uneconomical so I’m forced to now shoot wider than f3.5… f4 starts to show the damage…f11 is horrible.
I tried to go back to DSLR’s (miss using the 5diii) but the EVF has has spoilt me, got so used to seeing the final image before pressing the shutter…. Especially in mono 💕 yet I NEVER EVER use the rear screen - mines permanently folded in!
Tried so hard to work with just one lens but can’t!! The irony is in my youth I carried a fixed lens (38mm) point & shoot compact everywhere (all I had) and never once found it a hindrance??
I’m now pairing the RP with the RF16 & 85/2 plus on the RP, the old EF 40mm STM with the control ring EF-RF adapter. I just can’t get either my 35/1.8 or 50/1.8 to work for me. Ones slightly too wide the other is too tight!!! The 85 I seem to use only in crop mode for the reach (135) which gives a little isolation at wider apertures and is easier to work with than my old EF 135/2.
So a 3 lens set up about as cheap as you can get, but it seems to be working perfectly well for me.
Not sure why I’m posting this, maybe a reality check for those out there who like me just can’t justify the outlay (regardless if we can afford it or not) for canons crazy expensive R5/RF-L’s which seems to be the most common set up these days.
Taking snaps (that’s all they are!!) is just a bit of fun for me, nothing more.
