After reading the sad news about the fires in Jasper National Park, I combed through some of my images from a trip there in 2016, and thought I'd post a few. I'm praying for the safety of the people and critters in this beautiful park that are affected by the fires.

Thanks, Douglas. That trip to Banff, Jasper, and Glacier National Parks was a trip I will never forget -- second only to our trip to Alaska. The beauty on display in both of those trips was nothing short of breathtaking. Glad I'm a photographer, and could capture some of that awesome beauty.

Any idea on how much of the wonderful Jasper landscape has been affected by the wildfires that've been in the news lately?

Sorry for the slow response --- still playing catch up from a trip last week.
I know that the town of Jasper got hit pretty hard - about 1/3 of the town was destroyed, but I'm not sure just how much damage was/is done along the Icefield Parkway, or other areas. I saw one report that said the fire may burn for several months.
