At least that's what I think this embarrassed Green Heron was thinking.
At a local pond yesterday morning, this Greenie was fishing when he got buzzed by this Dragonfly within easy snatching distance. Just as he was about to pluck this guy out of the air, he lost his balance and stumbled down the bank almost falling into the pond. The Dragonfly was hovering above him the whole time -- I'm fairly certain, he was laughing at the Heron the whole time too. He escaped unharmed and the Greenie went back to snagging minnows.

These are not the best quality as they are heavy crops, high ISO, and horrible lighting -- but still worth a good chuckle. :-)

Yeah, those are fun shots, like when your normally acrobatic cat falls asleep and falls off the edge of the couch. We just expect them to nail it every time but sometimes they fail, heh.

Thanks, Eric! Yeah, the big difference is that cats tend to do some kind of substantial damage on the way down with those razors they hide in their paws. :-)
