Hello Gang,

Well.... I can tell you that I have been having a heck of a time trying to locate a threaded drop in filter holder for a 39mm L37C filter to fit in my oldie Nikon 300mm f2.8 AF IF ED.

If anyone had a lead that could be shipped to the US or Canada, I would commit to sending you virtual flowers every day for a week

Thanks for the thought. the ebay link is a gel holder and not a glass threaded filter holder like I am trying to find.

Is the part number L37C? The various L37C filters I see are various sizes, from 39mm to 77mm. What is the part number of the holder? there are a couple on EBay. This first one lot more money than the various gel filter holders, and when I blew the photo up it looked like it had threads for screwing a filter in. The photo is not great, so I couldn’t be sure

Here’s a drop in CPL for the 300mm 2.8D lens.Its 52mm so I’m not convinced it will work.

Yes that is the correct version. At over $200 Canadian and I already have the filter,I can't mentally justify that at this time lol

Funny thing is that I had a visitor yesterday and he had his old 300 f4 ad-d with a 39mm drop in filter with him. It's the same model filter holder and fit my lens perfectly. He wasnt willing to part with just the filter holder lol

Right place and right time. I ended up finding the holder with filter attached for $39. My quest has officially ended.... for now
