Found this Muscovy Duck hunkered down under the park bench. I guess it's too hot for him, can't blame the poor guy, I was pretty well overheated myself.

Not sure if he recovered from a previous injury because I never saw one with such a pronounced underbite.

Well he looks quite at home here Eric! Quite a look to this one, and yes that is a peculiar underbite and looks like a read spot midway down the back of the neck?

I saw that too Karl and wondered if it was a love bite or some competition from the other males put it there. If only he could talk, heh.

Wow Eric! You really pulled out some nice details in the white feathers! I guess the flat lighting helped, but still very nice !!

Thanks for the kind words, but yes the lighting helped a lot, as did the stationary subject.
