Seriously thinking about replacing my MP240 with this. I mostly shoot film these days, but do like to carry a digital on trips. I like the lower ISO and higher shutter speed, plus I don't really use the back screen anyway. The only thing missing is a live view option for non M-Mount lenses. (i know you can use the connected app, but that's going to hella awkward to use)

While I wait for a M12-D, where they fix all the limitations of the M11. Also agreed hope they keep the mechanical shutter.

The B&W mode sounds interesting, but it's also fundamentally different from a monochrome sensor so I'll be keeping my M9M

You might need to buy the PIXII to give it a try, but I recommend keeping your M240 for now. You might still prefer the M240 over the new camera.

Ordered but only because I have some time to think about this. Still coveting a few others though.

Does the smartphone connection provide live view? Because that would be enough for me for things like film scanning and lens focus testing. Literally the only times I miss having live view in my M240 (I have an M 262 now).

I think it looks fantastic in space grey.

Supposed to be a new feature for the Pixii. They have it on their website all the way at the bottom.

Good point. I'm a sucker for black paint and I do like the images out of the MP240.

I downloaded a Pixii A2572 DNG posted by Chau and processed it Raw Therapee and Picture Window Pro. Resolution is impressive, no?

Not sure if your link is working properly as I get an Error 403 page: "It appears you don’t have permission to view this photo or video."

Yep. Looks nice at web resolution.. downloaded full size, it seems kind of noisy for ISO 400, IMO.

The 0.67x magnification OVF is what bothers me along with the ES only mode.

Anyone out there who has one and can compare using the Pixii OVF versus a modern digital M OVF which ids around 0.72x magnification?

Isn’t 0.67 about what the M9 and M240 had? I had both those and now the 10r, and frankly I haven’t seen any practical difference in use with the OVF between my 10r and previous 240.

I've used M-mount lenses on a Hasselblad X1Dii. When you do that, you must use the electronic shutter. The capture is whatever you set your shutter speed, but the readout takes 300 ms! The Pixii is said to be much more rapid. Still, I rarely got rolling shutter effect. (You learn to freeze yourself a moment after pressing the shutter button to allow the readout to proceed.) But I don't do sports photos.

The M9 had 0.72x and the M240 0.67x. M10's had 0.73x and M11's are about the same.

I loved the 2 choices for the M6 of 0.58x for wide and 0.85x for normal and tele. They might sell more cameras if they still offered that.
