I've been shooting the Canon R6 for weddings and portraits going on three seasons now and shoot RAW. Oddly, the camera switched from RAW to HEIF with no input from the user other than occasionally using video. I couldn't find menu options to switch it back, so had to do a reset. I've already tried the image quality tabs, but can't switch it to RAW or even JPG.
Recently did a firmware upgrade too. Any input is appreciated.

I noticed a similar thing on one of my Sony A7R3s when I was switching from video to stills a bunch, it changed to JPEG and thankfully I noticed. Can't really help, other than to say I've noticed similar behavior on a different camera.

We've been playing with video lately as many couples are opting for speeches at rehearsal dinners, so we just toggle between stills and video. I don't want to have to reset my stills settings for each wedding though...

I had the same thing happen on my Canon R5. I shoot primarily on my Sony system so haven’t gotten around to fixing this
