You have a good eye for the landscape look Eric, you have a good eye as that is expressed through your wonderful C&C you have provided many of us
I am really liking #3, great vision
Karl
Thanks Karl, you are too kind. As I've mentioned elsewhere, I'm just paying some of that forward, and I benefit myself as much or more than I give back, just from being here and studying people's wonderful work on here.
I was wishing I had my tripod for a couple of these shots, some landscape photographer I am not bringing a tripod! ... but I will next time. I was out birding, and brought the 16mm on a lark in case the birds were hiding.
I'd like to try some high res multi shot and I'd like to compare pixel shift vs/ focus stacking, as long as the wind isn't blowing.
The shot you like, looking up into the cypress canopy with the sun starburst was one I've had in mind a while. I was hoping to get more DOF and foreground detail than I got, while still having the canopy sharp with detail, so I'm probably going to keep trying until I hit it just right, so you may see that type shot again someday.
It would be cool to get the uber depth of field and detail for big prints like the old F64 club guys were going for without the lens diffraction of stopping down so much. I have a gut feeling that the focus bracketed stacks will be more rewarding than the extra DR of the pixel shift images... Lots of idea's floating around in this head, and not enough free time to play.
