I dig the first one. Well done, and sad to see them go away.

This is really interesting. Last night my wife and I were having dinner with two other couples and we had a conversation about drive-in theaters. I believe there are only a couple left in our State as well. I have a lot of memories from the drive-in theaters and none of them involve the movies being shown.
Cheers,
Brent

Love these Dan! Memories. Got to wondering about the very first drive in theater. Camden, NJ 1933.

Nice memories. I think daylight savings time did in family movie night at the drive-in here in Texas. I remember our Thermos full of chilled sweet tea, fried chicken and cookies along with an unhealthy dousing of 'Off' and burning that little packet of who knows what on the dash to protect us from the swarm of mosquitoes ever present on the Texas Gulf Coast. As for teenage years, the sweat that would pour from your body soaking your clothes from the 98% humidity was a little hard to tolerate with your best girl, although I'm told some did.

DST is screwey! It throws my body clock waaaay off!!!!!!

As a teenager, I don't remember the heat and humidity affecting me as much as it does now. Yes 2 years in SE Asia was the ultimate of torture. For 6 months I was always wet!

Thanks Ray!

We have one just down the road, but instead of one big screen, it has three additional smaller screens, not really sure why!

Great shots and great memories. We have one on the west side of Norwalk, Ohio. It’s historic, and the original screen burned down a number of years ago and it has been replaced, but they’re still there.

I remember attending one with my fiancé in my 57 Chevy in the 60s and watching out the windows as a skunk waddled its way down the line and under the cars. As it passed under my car we got very quiet until it passed. Lol.
