Dear all,

I am curious to know if somebody is using Bach backpacks for their photo treckings.

I am moving with one 10l camera insert (thee small lenses and a body plus filters) and a tripod using 2 Deuter backpacks 24 and 32 liters.

I beliebe Bach has an excellent reputation, and I was wandering if I can improve the carrying confort. The daydream 35l seems adequate for photo, as it opens apropiatedly.

Thanks in advance.

Stay all well !!!!

Will be going to a mystery ranch Bridger 45 shortly for it's carry and versatility.

I do a considerable amount of travel using pack and one roller. Mystery Ranch has a well established history and was formerly Dana Designs. Configurations are to taste. The Bridger has capacity, accessibility and high carry ability with it's harness system.

The Bridger series has multiple size bodies to begin with. From 35L on up.

Actually never heard of Bach myself. I do believe it is a more local brand in Europe as MR is here on my side of the Atlantic.

Consider Deuter or Vaude for a more suitable option, especially in your part of the world. Comfort is highly individual, so it's best to test these backpacks in-store with weights (around 10 kg). How much weight do you plan to carry? Let's start from there.

After experimenting with various backpack brands, I've stuck with Deuter, Vaude, Mammut, Mystery Ranch, and Osprey. They all prioritize comfort and good enough organization for carrying camera gear. My smallest pack, the Deuter Race Air 14+3, handled 10 kg effortlessly during day-long urban explorations without causing any discomfort.

For a 30L capacity, I prefer the Osprey UNLTD 32, slightly ahead of Mystery Ranch and Vaude options. However, some users have reported comfort issues with this pack, highlighting the subjective nature of comfort preferences. What suits one person perfectly may not work for another.

Consider exploring Aarn packs for unparalleled customization options to tailor comfort to your exact needs.

Good luck!

i have been given a "few" packs to try out over my current lifespan. my house used to look like a mountaineering shop. finally let go of a few things. still working on it.

i dislike one use wonders. i do have one of those. versatility/usability is the name of the game.
