Smaller hood for Batis lenses

p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Smaller hood for Batis lenses

One more „Batis question“. I think once I came across a comment that said that there are smaller lens hoods available for the Batis series.

Can anyone recommend a specific hood for the Batis series? If they are smaller, do they have any drawbacks in comparison to the original ones? And: Do I need different lengths for the different Batis lenses? I do have the 40, 85 and 135 Batis.

Thanks for any tips!

I found those two. Are they good for the Batis series?

@zeitlos See you dug up my older post in the Sigma 35i thread about using a 25mm tall screw on metal lens hood, similar to the 1st link you post, on my Batis 85 and 135. Still use those and just to make it clear, the one I linked fits 67mm filter threads and uses a 72mm lens cap on the outside lip of the hood. Or you can use a 67mm lens cap on the inside at the hood base, but the Zeiss lens caps were hard to use this way, the Sony 67mm lens caps worked much better.
