The Eastern Bluebird is a new species for me. What a beautiful little bird. Have put out some bluebird houses and hope that a pair will nest.

As always , your nits, cries and suggestions are most appreciated and welcomed.

What a beautiful set Birdie, love those Bluebirds, they resemble our Western Bluebirds an awful lot. Great work with all of these!

Great work with the blue birds and the flowers Roberta. Bluebirds don't come here and I wish they did. Our flowering trees are just starting and you gave me a great tease of what is to come

Lovely, lovely Birdie. Coincidentally I just found some Bluebirds this morning on a walk. A rare sight for me also.

Hi Birdie

A very pretty set, especially for spring.

That last image is of winged-achenes. As kids we called them "helicopters". As the winged seed falls, it stays aloft longer, allowing it to land farther from the tree. Most of the maples have this seed dispersion mechanism. I cannot tell what species is in the image.

I also see Bluebirds as among the most beautiful. I've had a small group of them all winter that occasionally show at the feeder.

Morris posted that the flowering trees in NY are just starting so we (47th n lat) can't be far behind.

Wonderful set of images. And well done in photographing and processing. Numbers 5 and 6 are my favorites, but all are outstanding.
