p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Batch photo scanner?

I am looking for a photo scanner to do batch scanning of old family photo prints, my rough estimate is at least 10k prints, mostly 4x6 but some 5x7. I read Epson FastFoto FF-680W is the go to tool, but its not available where I am currently (Australia). Does anyone aware of comparable alternatives? The key is high consumer level quality, and ease of use (with a feeder to do multiple at a time). It was meant to be used by older people.

I have an Epson 2450 from about 20 years ago that can scan multiple smaller photos placed on the glass at the same time. The software detects each photo and creates a separate file for each of them. It also has a back light and frames to hold film positives and negatives for scanning. Even rolls of 35mm negatives can be scanned in groups of those that fit above the glass and it makes separate files of each photo or negative that it finds. It's not as technically enhanced as the latest scanners, but it sure is handy for handling digitizing from many sources like this. It has a USB output too. Maybe you can find one of these for this project. Mine still runs fine after all these years, and though I don't use it often any more, it sure is handy for this kind of work.
