Hi all
I have been trying out this amazing beast and I have now discovered why so many fit a replacement foot to it!

Which one to choose seems to come down to two choices.

Tall, e.g. KIRK LP-69 - comfortable to use as a carrying handle and would be in the up position when hand holding.

Low, e.g Wimberly AP-601 - easier to pack and more important, I’m hoping that when hand holding I would be able to rest the foot on my hand and still be able to steady the lens/focus override with my fingers.

Any thoughts as to whether the later might work in practice?

My biggest lens to date is the EF 300 2.8 and I can use the original foot in this way.

Any other thoughts on this would be very welcome,

I have the Kirk 69 and like it a lot.

I used to enjoy the short Wimberley feet. But as I do more handheld shooting, now I prefer the taller Kirk.
