Cosina Voigtländer already announced their new lenses under development that will be demoed at CP+.

Announcement page

There is one for Canon RF as well: 75/1.5.

I like their statement

"We hope you will find this information useful when purchasing future products."

It is nice when we see product development announcements and not through rumour sites.

I am currently looking at is filling in prime focal lengths outside the Canon norm. Although it is covered with a zoom I have for the last few months been looking at the 70,75 and 80mm focal length. Their statement definitely fits me.

Yes, it has electronic contacts (as stated in the screenshot in the first post above) for EXIF, will provide info for automatic IBIS support and will support use of Canon's manual focusing aid. But unclear if it's electronic automatic stop down aperture or mechanical aperture mechanism. Perhaps Robert ( @burningheart ) can clarify this based on his use of the RF 50/1.0 and 40/1.2 lenses.

You need to use the aperture ring on the front of the lens to change the aperture(1/3rd stops). Thus mechanical aperture. Surprising as the EF models was electronic.

The aperture ring can also be aligned to be click less.

The example of setting the aperture at 5:33 is with a 50mm F1.0 lens.
