Just a heads up in case it happens to you. My 4 yo Meike grip started draining batteries. Something in the grip is shorted or not shutting off. It will drain a battery ~50% in a month. I think the receiver for the radio remote is staying on. The D500 itself is no slouch at draining batteries but this was way overboard. I separated everything and the grip itself is draining batteries. It still works fine, I just leave it off cam with no battery. I considered replacing it but decided a couple pizzas will taste better.
