Are pineapples locally grown Pitter?
Very nice vibrant stroll in the market!

Yes Dan they are. The scene is on Avenida Sexta, a busy area in downtown Cali.

I tend to associate pineapples with Hawaii for some reason. Now I now better!

And hula hoops? Haven't seen them in many years!
Thanks hermano!

Those look way better than the ones in my grocery store.

Fresh ... truly fresh ... street food isn't something that is prevalent here.
Reminds me of, something I miss of my travels abroad, from years ago.

So true Kent!
I remember while serving in SE Asia, my team came upon a banana plantation in the middle of nowhere! Fresh bananas and a few mango trees also! Needless to say we all saved a few in our "ruckers"( ruck sacks) for later!

Also many of the towns had fresh hot French bread, freshly baked ready to sell. A carryover from French colonization I presume.

When I'd visit Singapore or Hong Kong ... I'd get a taxi straight to the market (open air, multi-level concrete structure, like a parking garage).

Bottom floor actually had a stream of fish flowing into it, ducks, chicken, etc. walking around. "Food court" was on the 3rd floor. Doesn't get much fresher than that.

And the pineapple / mango "smoothies" were supreme.

Then there was the "monkey meat" in Subic, and the gyros in UAE, the "shark 'n bake" and jerk in Trinidad.
Yup, some seriously amazing street food around the world.
