Bold move! Curious how it works out for you. I've been working with on my SEO and site for the last better part of a year (made huge ranking strides) and the teachers have stressed an "about me" section. Of course different markets mean different things too I suppose. Keep us posted!

OT — I was Creative Director at WDVE for a number of years, so (comically) when I think of an About Me section for Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer, it's totally in a Yinzer style mixed with a little Jerky Boys.

"Pictures? I got your pictures right here. Yinz want some slaw and fries on them pictures, too?"

Back on topic, the About section might be a great way to highlight your personality and how it might help (or hurt) a person's day.

As I redo mine, I'm drawing a line about how my loud and take-charge personality is best suited for extroverts who are comfortable in their own skin. I'm trying to connect with couples who are planning a fun & crazy day that a photographer has to run to catch up with — rather than couples who are looking for a photographer to run their day. I'm using the About section, and a huge portfolio review, to weed out clients. Out of 4000 images on my upcoming site, there are only 3 hanging dress images. For me, it's about people not stuff.

We have 3 photography brands / sites so for my personal brand I can niche a bit more as we get so many all-things-to-all-people jobs from the other sites.

Interesting! I understand. I am keeping mine, it’s always the first tab I click on any website. I do agree with those long small print biographies, I never read those. All the best keep us updated please how it worked out for youwww.dorotalong.com
