I recently bought a batch of old Rolleiflex cameras that needed attention. Serial Number 474xxx. This one only needed some cleaning and minor adjustment/lubrication to get it in great shape for being a user. The camera looks very nice with its original leather and nickle/brass fittings. The shutter is accurate to 1/6-1/3 stop throughout and focus is smooth. Winder works great and frames are properly counted. In loading film with these old ones you first look through the bottom window to line up frame 1 and then the winder does the rest for you.The lenses are both clean and clear and have very minor and few cleaning marks, nothing that would effect the pictures. The Tessar lens gives sharp, contrasty images. A great camera for using film and also a collectible. As shown in one of the pictures the "sports finder" function needs to be held down with a finger and the little mirror where you center your iris is broken. This function of the camera is very seldom used though. The focus screen is pretty clean and clear with gridlines and, while not near as bright as modern cameras, is very easy to use in good light. This is priced well under most that you'll find on the auction, and this one works great. Prefer F&F payment, I cover shipping in USA. |
