Over the past few years, I have been lucky to find and photograph six types of owls in the wild. I am sharing one picture of each owl below...

I sure hope that in the future, I can find more owls and raptors in general. Among them, I really look forward to photographing Northern Pygmy and Great Gray owls...

1. Short-eared Owl from the Pacific Northwest

2. Barred Owl from Florida

3. Barn Owl from Southern California

4. Great Horned Owl from Southern California

5. Burrowing Owl from Southern California

6. Snowy Owl from Southern California (believe it or not! :) )

Nice group...if you want pygmy owls and great grays, come to Central Oregon. Also boreal (tough to find), saw whet, northern spotted, long ear, flammulated & screech owls. Pygmies and GGO are day hunters, so easy to find, the rest good luck.

The detail on #3 is incredible, but the look on #5 is priceless because it's not the typical round eyed owl gaze.
Really nice set of owls, all great quality work too.
