I missed this completely as I haven't been visiting this forum. The first two images are priceless.

as someone else said, Ghostly indeed. The first two in color was a good choice. The warm glow of the kerosene lamp truly is haunting

When I entered the room it was indeed ghostly! I thought it was a mannequin! Then I saw his hands moving! He said "Come in"without moving an inch. Thanks for noticing the "kerosene effect"! I felt exactly that way also!
Thanks!
Dan

I was in Harpers Ferry, WV this Friday morning,...a fantastic place to go during the week. When I was there I was the only one besides the "erq-esque" citizens.
I entered the Provost Marshal's Office, took some images and heard some papers ruffling from another room....I went to see and saw this man at work by a kerosene light. On the right are shadows from that lamp on the walls. I converted it into B&W but found the warm glow and intimacy of a lone person being observed and photographed to good to change! Just me.

Nice work Dan! Loved the tour!

Steve
