Good point. The Dutch invitation confirmed to me since it had Express card and SD card symbols. Could there be two cameras announced? That said, the spotting if an SL3 looks to have a very high looking prism for there EVF.

I am trying to sell mine for 3k and I haven't even gotten a question.... my m10 I sold in 2 weeks.

I thought that thing might have been some oddly placed port based upon the last set of "leaked" photos. So now we read it seems to be an illuminating on/off switch which is interesting IMO. But like you, I hope we can control to illuminate or not.

Now maybe another super low resolution photo explaining what the dial on the side on the EVF might be.

Given what seems to be a bit less width SL3 than maybe I anticipated, the new SL3 might be closer to the smaller L-mount camera to adapt M lenses you have been hoping for.

On the other hand it does seem odd the camera used under the drape in that invitation doesn't resemble the SL3 EVF body style at all. So either they reused a print from some other event or...big surprise !

I agree that this is much more likely than an EVF-M especially when announced at the same time with the new SL. Otherwise who would care about the SL....

Yes. Not sure an EVF-M so-to-speak, would be an appropriate celebration of Leica's rangefinder anniversary.

I disagree, unless it's a Q made to look more like an M. The draped camera looks wider and lens placement more central than the Q, which would leave room for the RF system above and an OVF on the side. The Q's lens is quite a lot larger in diameter than whatever is under the draping.

IMO a new Q form with a different focal length would justify an announcement at Leica HQ rather than at a Leica Store.

Likely just a good marketing ploy. Pic of an M to drive up speculation and then release the SL3. Or some collectors edition. I'm fine with those but they're not for me. I like to (ab)use my cameras.....

But I'll take an M11D, EVF-M or Q3-45 as well if they want to release it. Especially the latter.

Having given this a lot of thought, I expect it to be an M11-R which comes with a special mount that fits into the hotshoe of an SL3. The distance calculated by the rangefinder will be transmitted to the SL so that photographers can enjoy the benefits of optical rangefinder and APO-SL at the same time. Or maybe the reveal will be a tabletop tripod.

If they release the SL3 and a 45mm Q at the same time I will have a very difficult time deciding which one to get. 50mm is my most used focal length and the only reason I sold my Q3 was because I don't like 28mm. The image quality from the Q3 was excellent and I would much rather carry a camera with the form factor of the Q instead of the SL body with the 50 APO SL.
