Hey guys, I had been using Sage Album (previously West Coast) along with Queensberry for more than a decade. Unfortunately Sage closed shop a couple of months ago and is no longer an option for flush type albums. Sage had the best quality prints of any albums I've used, including Queensberry which is double the price. Can anyone recommend a high quality flush type album with excellent customer service? For reference an average Sage album usually cost me around $750. Thanks!

I am very happy with RedTreeAlbums. In the past I've used VisionArt and PictoBooks, and I've also used Queensberry but they are so expensive and just not what most of my clients are looking for stylistically, even though I think they're gorgeous.

In the distant past (20+ years ago) wedding pros would get custom covers made (color, material, front cover photo inset), and have on hand matte layouts for various size and layouts of multiple prints...the retail consumer would not have access, since they would not have stock of a variety of matte layouts to choose from. I used to offer albums (layed out with custom selection of matte pages) from a company called Art Leather, but they went out of business about 20 years ago.

There are far fewer manufacturers of such 'matte album' components than in the past, but they do still exist. And the manner that they deal with photographers rather than the end consumer is often still the same (a photo business would create a login account). The pages are sometimes 'slip in' but there is no description of how that works, if its approriate (or not) for end consumer use, so I cannot suggest a vendor of matte albums that deals with the end consumer.

Try Millers for albums. The prices are pretty decent, but the interface could use some upgrades. We just did a 70+ page album for a content obsessed client for approximately $350, albeit, a promo, but cheaper than RedTree. However, that being said, we're going to try RedTree next as I like their paper choices for Fine Art.
